Kautilya, an Indian philosopher, royal adviser, and professor of economics and political science very rightly underlined the importance of education, some 2000 years ago. It makes us more self-aware. It has led to the development of many government-aided educational programs and government grants to schools and colleges. Schools are institutions that lay the foundation of a child’s development. Real education is obtained from the lessons taught by life. Education fetches better prospects of career growth. The future of a nation is safe in the hands of the educated. on-line degree programs help the working class and adults pursue education even while continuing work. Though not enlisted as one of the three basic human needs, education is equally important.
